Hi Folks – Our neighbor Jason has another show he wanted to let the neighbors know about. It looks like a great musical revue celebrating Chicago if you are interested in checking out some of the great artistic work coming out of Edgewater Glen lately.
Three Cat Productions is thrilled to showcase Chicago based composers with Chicago Is! A Hometown Musical Revue. More than just Michigan avenue, Garrett’s Popcorn, and the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Is! tells the story of Chicago through the eyes of seven Chicagoans. Each character explores their memories of the city they love. Pairing these stories with music from over a dozen Chicago composers, Chicago Is! celebrates what makes our city great.
“There is nothing more exciting than celebrating Chicago with the music of these fantastic composers,” stated Jason Paul Smith, Artistic Director of Three Cat Productions.
From musical theatre to jazz to comedy, the diverse mix of composers represents an array of musical genres. Chicago composers include Big X and Caucasians, Mark Burrows, Steve Clark, Cheryl Coons, Rob Dorn, Elizabeth Doyle, Michael Duff, Gary Gimmestad, Cory Goodrich, Matt Griffo, Owen Kalt, Joanna P.
